The Dedham Vale is a wonderful unspoilt corner of England encompassing parts of North Essex and South Suffolk.

The Dedham Vale is famous because the English landscape painter John Constable grew up in the area and painted some of his most well known paintings at Flatford Mill and in the surrounding countryside.  It is also known as Constable Country because of this connection.
