I have 7+ years experience in my own Private counselling practice, working in the Colchester (and Ipswich) areas. I work with GP practices for the NHS offering time limited counselling to patients referred by the GPs. My voluntary counselling work includes over two years of experience with clients aged between 14-25, working with issues of rape, suicide, sexual and physical abuse, drug and substance addiction, family conflict and breakdown. I am a fully trained, qualified and experienced Humanistic Person Centred Therapeutic Counsellor. I am accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I hold my own Professional Indemnity Insurance. My counselling qualifications include;-
My background is in training and development within commercial business. I hold an MA in Manpower studies and am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD). My 20+ years of experience in this profession helps inform my counselling work but I also occasionally work as a consultant to companies helping in personal and professional development issues.
